Meet Punjab’s young designer Simran Dhillon, who recently launched his flagship store in Mohali’s emerging hotspot, the HLP Gallerria, Sector 62, where Starbucks, Looks Prive, Levis, Nykaa On Trend, McDonald’s etc. have already set up shop and dozens of other top brands are making a beeline to be there.
With a legacy of dressing celebrities from Pollywood and Bollywood, Simran Dhillon has created an enviable niche for himself as a leading designer. Among the stars from the film and music industry who have patronised and endorsed his work are Gurdaas Maan, Badshah, Neeru Bajwa, Master Saleem, Sara Gurpal, Ammy Virk, Geet Goraaya, Prem Dhillon, Jagjeet Sandhu, Nikeet Dhillon, Deep Sehgal, and Bhavdeep Romana.
Showstoppers Master Saleem, Sara Gurpal, and Neeru Bajwa had added star power to the grand fashion show which marked the launch of Simran Dhillon flagship store at HLP Gallerria, showcasing his latest bridal and wedding collections which epitome luxury, sustainability, and modern design. Moving beyond traditional reds, the collection at the fashion show had embraced deep emeralds, rich blues, pastels, and jewel tones, accentuated by pearls, Swarovski crystals, mukaish work, and tissue fabrics.
Later the grandeur of Simran Dhillon was also witnessed in a unique fashion show in which models walked the rugged ground with gleaming and powerful horses as part of the 1st Punjab Equestrian Festival at The Ranch in Forest Hill Resort. It was a display of ‘Saddle & Silk’, where heritage rode in style.
There are four other sections, among which the men’s section stands out with luxurious pieces for all kinds of formal events – tuxedos, coats, shirts, pants, and more. The women’s section displays party wear with Indian and Indo-western styles.
The wedding section, Simran Dhillon design studio’s crown jewel, will bowl you over. On display are premium collections of hand-crafted lehngas and other outfits, custom couture for every ceremony, because each deserves a unique statement. Comfort is not compromised in the luxurious and regal looks.
Finally, there’s a section dedicated to casual clothing for men and women.
Simran Dhillon’s latest collection “Fiery Vows” is in pastel colours, particularly targeted at morning weddings, an effort to bring home the message that pastels aren’t just pretty, they can be powerful too.
